Info on Buddhist Bodhisattva Tara, & a Lovely Rendition of Chant

I just found a beautiful rendition of the chant to the Buddhist Bodhisattva TARA.  She is traditionally called upon when one is in need of immediate help, in danger.   She is a female bodhisattva- the latter means and enlightened being, who has chosen to stay on the earth plane and help relieve suffering of humanity.  She in the lore is said to have specifically chosen to be in the form of a female- traditionally Bodhisattvas are depicted as male….

The chant or mantra is “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha.”   I’ll add more on her to this post over time.

This rendition which I didn’t love at the beginning, builds and ends very nicely and becomes more “emotional” and engrossing to me.  Check it out.  Are there other specific Tara chants that you like? Let me know in comments.
